At 1:24 a.m., Denville police observed a black Hyundai Tucson, driven by Anthony Granados, make an abrupt lane change while driving eastbound on Route 10, officers said.
Officers tried to follow the vehicle, but Granados only sped up, police said.
Police activated their emergency lights and siren, but Granados refused to stop and started driving at speeds over 100 mph, officers said. After a brief chase, police obtained his license plate and terminated the pursuit, officers said.
An investigation determined Granados was the driver and he surrendered at police headquarters, officers said.
Granados was charged with eluding and issued summonses for reckless driving, careless driving, speeding, failure to signal, failure to yield, driving on marked lanes and driving with a suspended registration.
